Kardia Lumina means “Luminous Heart.” The Luminous Way of the Heart is the ancient spiritual path taught by mystics of all spiritual traditions; the seat of forgiveness, compassion, understanding, and power. All Kardia Lumina offerings and services are guided by this truth. It is my dearest hope that by sharing easy-access spiritual practices through healings, counseling, workshops, and teachings I can help widen the Luminous Way of the Heart in your own life. Truly, it may be this hearted path that is our only path forward as a species and so I offer these services and teachings to you in honor of that ancient camino de vida; the Path of Life.
This Mighty Networks community is an opportunity for us all to experiment with weaving together new and old pracatices to reveal something new about the Heart of God and the workings of Spirit.
Offerings include:
This Mighty Networks community is also like my Patreon; or a way for me to offer my teachings and support myself at the same time. I LOVE to teach and share the various practices that have worked for me so this is a great way to show your support for people spreading good theological messages, which are so needed at this time.
Feel free to join for one month, many months, or send a gift subscription to someone you love. Thank you so much for considering being a part of this small yet powerful community of amazing spiritual seekers. I'm so glad you're here!
Well, you are! This is a community that I want to plant seeds in but you all are the gardeners. You are the ones who choose which seeds to tend, which to nurture, which to share with other gardens, which to designate as heirlooms.
And here's a little about me as well:
I am an ordained Unitarian Universalist minister and student of the Franciscan mystical tradition. I currently serve as a Hospice Chaplain, pop-up church minister, spiritual counselor companion in the Denver/Boulder area. Services include End of Life Workshops for individuals and groups, Death Doula work, Altar work for the dead and living, individual spiritual consultation, and altered states journey integration.
My professional training is as an ecologist, biologist, and finally, theologian. I weave these subjects together with Buddhist psychology, trauma-based healing theory, and the practice of offering blessing and prayer to support you, my fellow incarnated wild ones.
Specializations and focus areas include:
Enneagram
Interfaith Spiritual practices including Earth-based/Pagan traditions, humanism/atheism/agnosticism, and ancient Judaeo-Christian ritual
12-Step, addiction, codependency
Tarot and Spiritual Symbolism
LGBTQ and Queer Spirituality Certification
Terminal Diagnoses, End of Life spirituality, and Hospice training
Thanks to my teachers: Rev. Nadia Bolz-Weber, Rev. Reagan Humber and the theologically brilliant congregants at House for All Sinners and Saints, Jose Stevens and The Power Path, Lucille Clifton, Jan Richardson, Bishop Yvette Flunder, Bishop Karen Oliveto, the members of Glide Memorial in San Francisco, and my favorite theological fiction author N.K. Jemisin.
My greatest teacher is, of course, the Earth herself and you will often find me in the mountains snowshoeing and skiing during the winter, or walking the alpine tundra in the summer.
